K1 TREEHOUSE AT K1 CLIMBING GARDEN - COLOGNE
Project "CUBE" started in summer 2024 and is now being finished to open up for public.
A room concept designed by myself, is adding the final touch to the treehouse "CUBE", which is part of germanys first, high-end treehouse hotel, located in beautiful Odenthal, close to Cologne.
Grand opening is scheduled for summer 2024.
Treehouse "CUBE" is shaped like a dice, measuring 4,20 x 4,20 meters. Levitated at approximately 5 meters, a spacious wooden terrace invites you to relax and gaze into the woods.
Large floor to ceiling glass fronts, bordering the terrace, let huge amounts of daylight into the living space of this treehouse. Coming in, a life-sized circular window ist built into the wall. Handmade upholstering inside the window, invite you to sit in, read a book or look into nature.
Above the window, a big art installation is embedded into the wall. On request of my client, the wall installation will respond to the round window, with circular shapes of color.
From Sahara red tones, muddy earth shades of the forest to ice blue winter skies.
This art piece showcases the whole color spectrum leaving no wishes unfulfilled.
Coming into the bathroom, a semi translucent room divider separates the toilet area from the rest of the bathroom. Blue and turquoise tones are shown to represent rain and water.
A lightning concept by the famous brand OCCIO will showcase my Installations in the right way.
COMPANY PROJECT WITH VOGEL ARCHITECTS IN MUNICH
In the beginning of 2024 I was contacted by the team of Vogel Architects.
Their company got hired to redesign an office building in Munich, and they want to incorporate a piece of my handcrafted polycarbonate sheets into their concept.
We are planning on covering the front side of the big kitchen island in the lunch break room of the company with a big NMDESIGN color sheet.
Customer wish is, to cover the whole front with dimensions of 2,60 x 1,30 meter in a neat, closed and clean way. A robust, but also very creative solution for a highly trafficked area in this office complex. Color way and theme are being processed at this time.
Execution and installation at final destination will take place in the middle of 2024.

DEVELOPING MY OWN COLOR STUDY
​To pursue and deepen my artistic repertoire I am working on my own color study.
By creating all kinds of color gradients, I am trying to reach different corners of color and light, to become better at understanding color at itself.
